ICC confirms death of Sir Garfield Sobers at 89

The International Cricket Council confirmed on 17 July the death of Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers, the Barbados National Hero and former West Indies captain, at the age of 89, 11 days before his 90th birthday. The council described him as one of the greatest players ever to grace the game.
